About

Through PenTales storytelling projects, we seek to open the channels of communication among individuals and communities around the world. By encouraging individuals to share original stories with one another, PenTales will help foster literacy, creativity, and dialogue, and will connect people in meaningful ways.
PenTales flourishes only because the PenTales community does. Each day, we rely on the generous support and guidance of those who inspire us to keep the community growing.
PenTales extends its most sincere thanks to:
The New York City Parks & Recreation Department, and especially to Deputy Commissioner Robert Garafola, for giving us the opportunity to bring PenTales to community centers across New York City’s five boroughs.
New York University’s Gallatin School, and in particular Professor Karen Hornick, for offering brilliant advice and for inspiring students to support PenTales community projects.
Arlosites for generously sponsoring our website and offering their tech expertise.
The Open Planning Project for their help in reaching out to the tech community.
