The Craft of Writing section was created to inspire readers to experiment with their writing, to learn more about the publishing market, and to listen to the voices of established poets, playwrights, and novelists. Updated on a weekly basis, this section features:

1. Interviews with published writers
2. Interviews with literary agents and book editors
3. Guides containing specific writing tips and exercises
4. Guides on publishing your work
5. Profiles of current MFA programs and writers’ colonies
6. Short stories and longer poems written by PenTales Creative Writing Fellows

By generating original content for our readers, we hope that writers of any age and background will be encouraged to keep exercising their storytelling talents!
